Minneapolis, who knew?

September 28, 2009

We are back from what was one of the best vacations we have taken. I had absolutely no idea Minneapolis was so great.  To start off with, Alice was a dream in the car!  She was only awake for about an hour on the way up, and on the way home it was playtime in the backseat.  Wait, I need to slow down, there was a lot of good stuff in the middle.  Shut up and show some photos.

IMG_9270Mint chip outfit on Angie and Aaron’s back porch. Disregard the bottle of bourbon.

IMG_9274In the back it’s Mina (baby) and Angie (one of our hosts, Sarah’s college roommate). Again, disregard the bottle of bourbon.

IMG_9276That is Aaron, Angie’s husband and a man who appreciates a fine bottle of whiskey.

IMG_9334Now, it isn’t often that I get to see a group of women that haven’t seen each other since college.  I guess it is customary to drink just a little too much and put on homecoming dresses.  I learned a lot about women on this trip.

IMG_9343We also participated in the Urban Assault Ride while in the Twin Cities.  Great way to see a new town, 20 miles on a bike back on forth, back and forth, back and forth.  I don’t think we officially finished last, however, I think we unofficially finished last.  For those of you that were there, you will understand.  I highly doubt anyone from New Belgium will ever read this blog, but if anyone does, Thanks!  We had a great time.

IMG_9351Standing next to Sarah is Cat, over her right shoulder is Tim.  These fine folks took us under their wing so that we wouldn’t get lost, hurt or abducted on the mean streets of Minneapolis.

IMG_9354Claudianna knits up a storm!  She made matching hats for Mina and Alice.  Wagon ride, matching hats, life is pretty good.

Last we have Alice so pumped about a great trip that she is dishing out high fives like crazy!  Or was that a high 80? I lost count.
